Gary and Carol helped me get into my harness and attached the rest of my balloons. A number of hot-air balloons were there to fly and began to inflate beside me. |

The day had been very still, but now a slight breeze picked up -- blowing toward the northeast, away from the Washington SFRA, which was just perfect. I had Gary and Carol release me, and up I went. |
